commemorating the 81st anniversary of the 8 May 1945 massacres

In tribute to the righteous martyrs and in commemoration of a significant chapter in national history, the community of ENS Sétif marked, on the morning of Thursday, 7 May 2026, the National Day of Memory, commemorating the 81st anniversary of the 8 May 1945 massacres.
The symbolic gathering brought together administrators, faculty, staff, and students. The ceremony began with the national anthem, followed by a minute of silence in memory of the victims of the massacres and the martyrs of the War of Liberation.

On this solemn occasion, Dr. Rezzoug Mohamed Tayeb evoked the brutality of the events and the sacrifices of the Algerian people, emphasizing that 8 May 1945 marked a turning point that exposed colonial falsehoods and paved the way for the armed struggle. He urged the university community to preserve national memory and uphold knowledge and hard work as the best tribute to the sacrifices made for the sovereignty of Algeria.
🇩🇿🇩🇿Glory and eternal honor to our righteous martyrs.🇩🇿🇩🇿.
